RAR Season Continues Saturday
Race two of the 2021 season at Redwood Acres Raceway takes place this Saturday May 15. The evening’s events will be presented by Bear River Casino Resort. Legends, bombers, mini stocks and roadrunners will be in action while the late model division has the weekend off.
The season opening event at the Acres took place on May 1 and it was a fantastic evening. In addition to the thrilling racing on-track, RAR was able to host fans in the grandstands for the first time since September 2019. Luke Hall was the main event winner in the late model division after making a late race pass on Dustin Walters. The Legends division feature was dominated and won by Brandon White. Raquel Krupa withstood race-long pressure to win the bomber main. Eric O’Ferrall capitalized on a late race error by Sam Brown to win the mini stock main while Jeremiah Martin claimed the victory in the roadrunners.
As with the season opener, a limited number of tickets are available to purchase for this Saturday’s Bear River Casino Resort Night at the Acres. Tickets can be purchased by going to https://market.myracepass.com/store/tickets/?i=1247067&store=20226 and are $10. Pits will open at 9:00 AM with practice beginning at 1:00 PM. Grandstands open at 4:00 PM with racing starting at 5:30 PM. Masks must be worn by fans if they are out of their seats or if they are unable to maintain a six-foot distance from non-family or group members. Vendors will be moving throughout the grandstands selling food, beer, wine, popcorn, candy and soft drinks. All transactions are cash-only. Saturday’s race will also be streamed live on YouTube and RAR’s Facebook via https://www.youtube.com/c/RedwoodAcresRaceway.
