Redwood Acres Raceway Hosting Legends Of The Redwoods In September
The penultimate event of the 2020 for Redwood Acres Raceway will be one of the biggest races of the season as the 3/8-mile track will host the Legends Of The Redwoods on Saturday September 11. While late models, mini stocks and roadrunners will be in action for the evening, Redwood Acres Raceway’s Legends division will be in the spotlight for what will be the biggest event for the division since it was added in 2016.
The Legends Of The Redwoods race will have two main events for the Legends cars. Race one will pay $500 to win while race two will pay $2,000 to win with the payout going all the way through to the tenth position. The race as with all Legends division races at the Acres will be INEX sanctioned and will count toward the national championship.
Besides providing exciting on-track action for fans, RAR officials are hoping the event will not only get local Legends drivers to participate but also attract the top Legends division drivers in the state and region. The most recent race at RAR on June 19 was a taste of what’s anticipated for September’s race as one of the top Legends racers in Northern California Cody Winchel narrowly beat local favorite Brandon White in a spectacular back and forth race.
