Mucci Notches Another Upstate Win
Trystan Mucci took the victory in the 60-lap Upstate Bomber Series feature Saturday night at Ukiah Speedway. It was Mucci’s second straight win in the series with his previous win coming at Redwood Acres Raceway on July 10.
Mucci was able to move to the lead in the first 1/3 of the race to score the victory over series title rival Loren Powers, Jr. Anthony Fomasi placed third with Mikey Lovell taking fourth. Jordan Krupa was the highest finishing Redwood Acres Raceway bomber division driver in fifth place. Krupa led early on in the main event. Powers was quick time in qualifying with a 14.834. The heat races were won by Powers and Mucci.
Two other RAR racers participated in the Upstate race Saturday. Donnie Brown brought home a sixth-place effort while Raquel Krupa was sidelined 17 laps into the feature resulting in a 14th place finish. RAR bomber division points leader Tyler Krupa raced his Legend with the Legends Of The Pacific and scored a ninth place run. Jeremy Doss was the winner of the 30-lap main event.
The Upstate Bomber Series will complete its four-race season at Redwood Acres Raceway on Saturday September 11. RAR’s next event is this Saturday August 28 with Legends, bombers, mini stocks and roadrunners in action. Tickets are $10 can be purchased at the gate Saturday, on RacinTheAcres.com or at Automasters and Don’s Rent-All in Eureka, McKinleyville Barber Shop in McKinleyville and JC Auto in Fortuna.
