New Touring Series And National Qualifer Set For Legends At RAR
The 2023 is shaping up to be perhaps the biggest yet for Legends drivers at Redwood Acres Raceway. It will be the eighth season of racing at the 3/8-mile paved oval for the division and there will be plenty on the line for drivers throughout the year.
11 events are on this season’s schedule for Legends at Redwood Acres Raceway. The biggest race of the year will take place on Saturday July 29 with the Legends Of The Redwoods Shootout. This event will be an INEX National Qualifying event, the first national qualifier ever at RAR. Drivers who start this race will earn points toward INEX’s national championship for Legends. With national points on the line, the Shootout is expected to attract many of the top Legends drivers from all along the west coast.
In addition to being an INEX National Qualifying race, the Shootout is one of two races at RAR that is on the schedule for the new NorCal Legend Series. This new touring series has 12 racess lined up for 2023. Redwood Acres Raceway will host the tour twice on July 29 and August 12.
Other tracks on the series schedule include Ukiah Speedway, Stockton 99 Speedway, All American Speedway, Lakeport Speedway and Shasta Speedway. Like the Acres, each track will have two races for the series’ debut season. The 2023 season at Redwood Acres Raceway begins Saturday April 29 with the Rhododendron 100.
