Modifieds Join RAR Locals This Saturday
After a three-week break, the 2023 season resumes this Saturday June 3 at Redwood Acres Raceway. McMurray And Sons will be presenting a full night of action as the North State Modified Series and the Upstate Modified Series will be the feature attraction along with the Acres’ regulars in the late models, Legends, bombers, mini stocks and roadrunners.
The North State and Upstate Modified Series’ will both be competing in the 60-lap Dave McMurray Sr. Memorial feature this weekend. Saturday night’s race will mark the beginning of the 10th season of racing for the North State Series. The North State Mods had their original season opening race at Shasta Speedway cancelled due to rain in April.
The Upstate Modified Series is in its first season of racing and Saturday’s race will be the second of four on the schedule. Their first race took place this past Saturday night at Ukiah Speedway. Kyle Tellstrom took the victory over an impressive field of 17 cars and drivers.
Tickets for Saturday night’s races can be purchased at Automasters in Eureka, Don’s Rent-All in Eureka, McKinleyville Barbershop and JC Auto in Fortuna. Tickets can also be purchased on RacinTheAcres.com or at the gate on race day. Fans that are unable to attend this weekend’s races in person have the option to view them via live stream by visiting RacinTheAcres.tv or SpeedSport.tv. An open practice is scheduled for Friday June 2 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
