“Motorsports Night” To Be Part Of 2023 Redwood Acres Fair

North Coast motorsports enthusiasts will have something to be even more excited about when it comes to this year’s annual Redwood Acres Fair. Most fans are already aware of the Friday June 23 event at Redwood Acres Raceway which will feature local stock car action. The Fairgrounds has added an additional event for Saturday June 24 which will further fulfill the year’s theme of “Summer Starts Here”.

June 24 will be Motorsports Night at the Fair. All the action begins at 6:00 PM in the Redwood Acres Raceway grandstands. Admission into the Motorsports Night is free with fair admission. In other words, your ticket into the fair on Saturday June 24 will also permit you into the main grandstands.

Members of the Redwood Sports Car Club will be demonstrating the power and fury of their vehicles with a Drag Lap Shoot-Out. Grassroots Drifting will also have a Slideways Exhibition for fans of the Fast & Furious kind.

The main event should be a real crowd pleaser as the Down & Dirty Hillbilly Boat Race will conclude all the action. This will be the first boat race at Redwood Acres since 2016.

The twist to bringing boat races back will be that the event will be run on the infield of the 3/8-mile track. The main reason boat races have been off the schedule for so long was because of the damage the events did to the racing surface. Boat racing in the dirt should add an all new and exciting challenge to the action that fans will not want to miss out on.

The Down & Dirty Hillbilly Boat Race will pay $500 to the winner. Boat race entry fee is $50 while pit passes also cost $50. Rules for the event are posted on RacinTheAcres.com as well as the Redwood Acres Raceway Facebook page.
