Eureka’s White, Krupa Among Winners At Ukiah Saturday
Redwood Acres Raceway’s season is having a “summer break” but that does not mean local drivers and teams aren’t finding racing action. Many familiar fan favorites took to the ¼-mile track at Ukiah Speedway this past Saturday night. Brandon White continued his domination in the Nor Cal Legend Series by winning another feature in the series while Jordan Krupa was victorious in the Upstate Bomber Series as well.
Over 30 of some of the best Legend drivers in the region descended on the raceway Saturday with White’s victory coming over stout competition including Cameron Austin, Mike Doss, Trey Daniels and Mikey Lovell. Tyler Krupa of Eureka managed to place eighth in the main event.
Jordan Krupa’s win in the Upstate Bombers should come as no surprise to anyone who has witnessed him display his talent at the Acres. Krupa earned his win over Bob Mook and Anthony Fomasi. Kadence Toland of Eureka had an impressive fourth place effort while youngster T.J. Sorrels rounded out the top five.
The Upstate Modified Series was also in action Saturday with regular front-runner Eric Price, Jr. winning over Sammy Nuno, Trystan Mucci, Sal Martinez and Sierra Furia. Alderpoint’s Luke Hall placed sixth. Chris Straka won the Pro-4 Modified feature while the Junior Legend feature went to Ryan Molina and the Bandolero win was taken by Kaine Betancourt.
Many of the drivers who participated in the Upstate Modified Series event are expected to race Saturday July 27 when the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series, Spears Modified Series and Nor Cal Legend Series visit Redwood Acres Raceway.
