Redwood Acres Raceway’s Schedule Rearranged Due To Area Fires
Eureka, CA (July 23, 2024) – One of the most anticipated events of the 2024 season at Redwood Acres Raceway has sadly been forced to be rescheduled due to fires in Humboldt County.
This Saturday’s event featuring the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series, the Spears Modified Series and the Nor Cal Legend Series has been postponed to Saturday August 31. CALFIRE is using the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds as a base to battle the local fires, necessitating the rescheduling of the date.
This means the next race date at the Acres is now Saturday August 10. O’Reilly Auto Parts will be presenting a full night of racing action featuring late models, the Upstate Modified Series, the Upstate Bomber Series, the Nor Cal Legend Series and mini stocks. In addition, vintage super modifieds and midgets will also be part of the show.
Following that race, only two dates will be left for the 2024 season. The August 31 date and the season finale Fall Spectacular on Saturday September 21.
All tickets that were purchased via pre-sale for the originally scheduled July 27 date will be good for the August 31 date. Of note, Raceway officials are working on additional plans for the weekend and hope to have news announced soon.
Fans that are looking for their racing fix and can travel are encouraged to visit Ukiah Speedway this Saturday as racing will take place on the ¼-mile oval. Modifieds, bombers, Legends, Jammers and vintage midgets are on the raceway’s schedule this weekend.
